Wet leaves and wind

Today's ride was an absolute chore. This is the time of year that the first wet leaves begin to gather in lethal heaps and, coupled with the vast quantity of mud on the roads, generate hazards on every turn. Even the pigs in the fields appear cautious. Also, at every opportunity, blustery bursts of wind whipped out of gaps in the hedgerows to add to the excitement of trying to stay upright and as for the zombies ... exactly how much room does a town runabout need? And why do they feel the need to veer towards me?
Still, I spotted another sign which will become a title of a book, so the world remains on a reasonable keel of ying and yang. I'm eager to get to grips with some fresh and original work (stumbling upon that title the other day has invigorated me), but the revision of an e-book is still providing entertainment as I now have a handle on the main antagonist.

Don't do stupid – it's just not clever.
