About a couple of months ago I was revising a novel in preparation for up-loading as an e-book and removed a scene that didn't move the plot along (and was a bit of distraction – just like this aside). I try not to permanently delete something like that and so, today, I realised a version of it would fit rather nicely into my latest work. Ta-dah! Two hours work saved. And the only person I ripped off was myself. Euphemisms abound – take your pick!
