What a day, already! The mortgage has been paid off! But here's a question for you folks: In these days of instant electronic communication, where my wife can live-stream a panda cam in San Diego zoo and I can receive Tweets from NASA's Curiosity from Mars!, why has it taken SIX days to transfer funds from the bank account of my endowment policy holder to my mortgage company? And who was earning interest on it while it was in this state of limbo? I'll try to give a damn some time ....
