You'd think that when a teenage girl is shot in the head because her assailant believes God does not want women educated, and she lives, those of a religious bent might just consider the possibility that God is trying to tell everyone something. So it is doubly ironic that she is brought to this country for medical help, because our religious people are so up to speed with The Lord's intent, aren't they? Women bishops? Whatever next? Female Prime Ministers? A female Head of State? I feel sorry for them – not only are they not in touch with society at large, but they don't appear to be in touch with their God. Still, you have to forgive them, I suppose ...
