I suppose if I had been born and raised elsewhere in these sunny Isles, I would be equally sentimental about that area as I am about Suffolk. Probably. Because you can always find fault, can't you? Those little things which niggle? Like the media blitz about a pregnant woman suffering from bad case of morning-sickness? (Oh, and isn't her name Katherine? Who is this Kate person associated with Will?) As I say, you can always find fault, can't you? In my case, it's the fact that I live on the Eastern side of the county, and on the Eastern side of Ipswich. This means most of my regular cycling is done in the countryside east and to the north of the town. Which means that, generally, on the outward leg I have the wind behind me, and smack in the face on the return.
As I found out today.
Along with the cold.
And the rain.
Bizarrely, I quite enjoyed it ...
In much the same way that I dithered over whether to purchase a new frameset, I have been debating for some time as to the best way to proceed with this revised e-book I am planning. I had a moment yesterday when I considered just binning the whole idea and pressing onwards with something completely new. But after I took the butcher's knife to some verbiage which didn't advance the plot, and sneaked in some rather cute updates, I'm back on track.
And now to mend a puncture ...
Don't do stupid – it's just not clever.
